The Tiger 70 was the quarter-litre sports single in Edward Turner's new Tiger range, which gave Val Page's sound engines sharper styling and sporting names. It was the renamed L2/1 and stayed in production until 1939-40, when the twin-cylinder Tiger 100 joined the range.
